Biomedical Research & Technology Open House, March 15

Join us at the Cook-DeVos Center for Health Sciences for tours and group presentations!

Biomedical Technology professionals use a combination of biology, medicine and technology to improve medical science, medical equipment and the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions. Successful completion of this course is now equivalent to Freshman Biology at GVSU and gives students a head start on their college careers.

  • Dig into cell structures and function.
  • Re-engineer cells to stop a simulated outbreak while working in a GVSU lab.
  • Isolate DNA and study new technologies in genetics using electrophoresis
  • Mutate, grow and study microorganisms for pharmaceutical use.

The open house is Wednesday, March 15 starting at 5 p.m. at the Cook-DeVos Center for Health Sciences, 301 Michigan St. NE, in Grand Rapids. Go to the 4th floor and room 477. Group presentations will take place at 5:15 and 6:15 p.m., with tours following at 6 p.m. and  7 p.m.
