Hard Hat Development
Hard Hat Development is a new partnership between KCTC Applied Construction and ASAM, the American Subcontractors Association of Michigan. Part of the national organization, ASAM represents 60% of all commercial and industrial subcontractors in the state of Michigan. Through this new partnership, Applied Construction students will be able to hear first-hand about careers in construction from construction professionals by way of guest speakers, field trips, job shadowing and mentoring. This connection also enhances the Applied Construction program's ability to place students in well-paying jobs in the construction industry that include paid apprenticeships and on-the-job training.
