Meet Our Instructors

Jon Sarver

Mr. Sarver has been teaching Precision Machining at KCTC since the fall of 2019. Before joining the Tech Center, he taught for 12 years in the Machining and CNC Technology program at the Allegan Tech Center, and he spent 6 years at Careerline Tech Center teaching manufacturing courses to both high school students and adults. He has also taught manufacturing courses for GRCC and GRCC’s workforce development program for 5 years, and he has served as an adjunct instructor for Lake Michigan College. His background includes work as a Tool and Die Maker and a Jig and Fixture Builder, and he holds an Associate of Applied Science in Manufacturing Tooling Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Technical Education, both from Ferris State University.

Outside of the classroom, Mr. Sarver enjoys mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, backpacking, camping, traveling, and other outdoor activities. He also coaches lacrosse and loves watching his three sons’ sporting events.
