Meet Our Staff
James Cain
Mr. Cain graduated from Morley Stanwood High School in 1998. He went on to earn a B.S. in Elementary Education from Ferris State University in 2003, followed by a B.S. in Industrial Technology from Central Michigan University in 2008 and an M.Ed. in Educational Technology from American College of Education in 2010. James has owned a construction and equipment repair business for years, and he taught Industrial Arts at Tri County High School for nine years before joining KCTC.
Jeff Kollin
Mr. Kollin is an instructor who graduated from Comstock High School in 1990 and went on to study Automotive and Diesel Technology at Universal Technical Institute in 1992. He has worked in the transportation industry for over 30 years, most of that time with AIS Construction Equipment. Jeff also served three years in the United States Army as a Wheeled Vehicle Repair and Recovery Specialist.
John Rasch
Mr. Rasch is a CTES instructor who grew up on a fruit and row crop farm. He worked for four years at a John Deere dealership as an agriculture mechanic, and he also worked on the family farm. John is a graduate of Ferris State University, where he earned a BA in Heavy Equipment Service Engineering with a minor in Fleet Management, and he also holds an Associate degree in Automotive Service.
