Meet Our Staff

Josh is an ASE Master Certified Technician with 19 years of service as a General Motors automotive technician. He is a graduate of KCTC Automotive and Grand Rapids Community College with an A.A.S. in Automotive Service Technology.

Mr. Jefts worked previously as a technician at Toyota and Scion of Grand Rapids. He is an ASE Master Certified Technician.

Mr. Kiekover worked for over 30 years in the automotive industry as a technician. He has worked on vehicles, generators, and a variety of other systems here and in Africa.

Mr. Lystra has been an industry technician for over ten years and was a service engineer at Ford Motor Company. He is a nationally-certified ASE technician and is a state-licensed Automotive Service Technology Instructor.

Luis is an ASE-certified technician with five years of experience working in the automotive field and over two years of working as a salvage yard dismantler. He is a graduate of KCTC Auto Tech.

Mr. Pekrul worked as a Master Lexus Technician and an Automotive Technician prior to coming to KCTC. He is an ASE Master Certified Technician.

Joe Plowman works with students in all eight automotive classes. His son and daughter are both graduates of KCTC in Auto Tech and Criminal Justice.

Joseph Plowman has worked for over five years in the automotive field and worked for over two years as a Salvage Yard Dismantler.

Mr. Swanson is the Parts & Service Aide and is the father of identical twin boys!

Mr. Vannest worked as a Jaguar & Land Rover Silver Certified Technician and a Ford Senior Master Technician before coming to KCTC.

Mr. Yetzke worked over 25 years in the automotive industry as an Automotive Technician and Service Manager. He was also a Volkswagen Certified Technician at Gezon Motors.
