Launch U Early Middle College
Students who begin the Networking and Cyber Security program in 11th grade have an exclusive opportunity to earn a free associate degree from GRCC through Launch U Early Middle College.
Those who elect to enroll in Launch U, begin the Networking and Cyber Security program in the fall of 11th grade. In January of their 11th grade year, they begin taking GRCC IT courses while at KCTC. Students return for 12th grade of KCTC combined with GRCC courses. Then, they attend one additional year of the program - called a 13th year - on GRCC’s campus.
Students graduate with a high school diploma and a Computer Support Specialist AAAS degree - debt free!
Computer Support Specialists are in demand and critical in many industries including:
- Healthcare
- Higher Education
- Manufacturing
- Software and IT companies
- Aviation
- Finance
Professional Certifications through Launch U
Students in KCTC’s Networking and Cyber Security program have opportunities to earn a handful of in-demand professional certifications. As part of that program, students enrolled in Launch U’s Computer Support Specialist program can earn those credentials too, including:
- CompTia A+ Certification
- CompTia Network Plus Certification
- CompTia Security Plus Certification
- Stackable CompTIA Secure Infrastructure Certification
