Do I need to Apply to FSU?

  • All students enrolling for “A Year”, possessing an overall 2.5 GPA or higher, will need to apply with Ferris State University.
  • “A Year” students with an overall 2.5 GPA or higher will receive 3 concurrent credits for Intro to Criminal Justice (CRIM 110) from Ferris State University.
  • “B Year” students with an overall 2.5 GPA or higher will receive 3 concurrent credits for Intro to Law Enforcement (CRIM 113) from Ferris State University.
  • Students who are currently in “A Year (2018-2019 students)” planning on taking “B year next year (2019-2020)” will be enrolling during our CJ Class for Ferris State University while at KCTC. (Counselors do not need to worry about enrolling current CJ students).

Please Note: Students that have an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher will need to apply with FSU in addition to completing the normal CJ application.

We will still accept a student application if they do not meet a 2.5 GPA or higher, but they do not need to enroll with Ferris State University.
