Special professional interest

The development of young people is a passion I have developed as I have worked with youth in many different capacities over my lifetime. It wasn’t until after working for many years in the printing and graphic industry, that I combined my experience in the field with teaching. This has been very exciting as I have had the opportunity to impact the lives of students beyond high school. I specialize in motivating youth to find their dream and pursue it, no matter the obstacle.

Your favorite thing about being a teacher

The opportunity to impact lives motivates me everyday to keep pushing myself to develop the best program of study to further their journey along work and life. I know it isn’t really about printing as much as it is about learning that the students have what it takes and that they are indeed intelligent and full of potential, regardless of their academic ability.  Career and Technical Education can provide this and I am confident in the effectiveness of training programs like ours.

Your favorite thing about KCTC

The diversity and dedication to lead learning. It is not taken lightly and I am privileged to work in such a organization that pursues the best in educational practice and methods. The staff are great and my administration fully supports my program and vision.
