About Applied Construction Technology

Build homes for local families, work with professionals and learn all aspects of the construction field. Begin with house plans and framing and end with custom cabinetry, exterior decks and interior finishes.

This two-year program covers all aspects of residential construction. You can earn your 10-hour MiOSHA safety certification during the first year in the program, which means you’ll be eligible to actually work in the field – even before you graduate.

Aaron Phillipo and David Alt finish the porch roof on one of the Ledgestone townhomes.  Students just recently returned from a tour of the 55-million dollar Gordon Food Service Corporate Center project being built by Dan Vos Construction.  The LEED certified GFS project includes advanced building systems such as geothermal heating and cooling, and a live "green" roof.
