KCTC Goes Green!

Kent Career Tech Center "Goes Green"

High School Students Throughout Kent ISD to Benefit

Grand Rapids, MI –  The spinning blades on the new wind turbine are just the most obvious signs of the “greening” taking place at Kent Career Tech Center.  Enrollment begins this fall for  two completely new programs (Alternative Energy and Environmental Sustainability), plus a new partnership to recycle homes with Habitat for Humanity in our existing Applied Construction program.

“We are very pleased to offer these programs to the students throughout Kent ISD schools.  They are good for students and good for Michigan,” explained Kevin Konarska, superintendent of Kent ISD.  “In fact, we expect the students who enter these programs to be part of the new economy in our state and we look forward to the great work they will do to impact our environment.”
